Skynet has been able to control many automated factories that is able to produce alot of terminators and begin it's advancements. It has loaders almost like bulldozers or these lift trucks to deliver it's materials and begin taking over. Skynet thinks at a geometric level so it thinks at a very high level. It can come up with new solutions to its designs and other ideas within seconds compared to humans. Its flaw is it's just a super computer that became self aware and saw humaniy as a threat to its survival. It doesn't understand what it's really doing. All it know is self preservation. It hacks into any computer mainframe, satellites, facilities, and anything it can acquire. Skynet was built from cyberdyne research systems corporation. Miles Dyson was the lead candidate in special projects, creating a new micro processor from two pieces of really advanced technology out of the terminator from the first movie the terminator. He was responsible for what was known as judgement day when skynet came online like a computer virus and took over. Dr Miles Dyson never intended for it to cause destruction on a global scale. His purpose was for the new cpu to make things alot easier for humans. Skynet began it's terminator production to a big degree to start hunting down human survivors and capturing humans to study their skin to make new advanced terminators. Every AI has it's flaws and is prone to screw up many times. Skynet has more resources at its disposal and has alot more numbers then humans giving it a huge advantage. Its technology far exceeds humans but is used against it when human resistance scavenge it for parts and weaponary. The T-800 was a radically huge leap in technology that has a neural net processor(learning computer) and is able to learn and track targets with deadly precision. This machine is one of the most deadliest terminator due to its advanced capabilities and it's cpu. Its tracker marker gives it an advantage over obsolete terminators such as the T-600 and T-700 series which don't possess that kind of technology. Revolutionary breakthrough in technology the T-800 is. Skynets terminators, machines, technology, networks, and resources gives it a massive advantage but it will run out of it eventually. There are terminators that rebelled against skynet such as Marcus Wright who was a human then later got reconstructed to become a TH terminator and Catherine weaver who was a mysterious rogue T-1001 terminator who traveled from an unknown timeline to create an AI to counter skynet and  defeat it. Skynet's worst nightmare would be its own terminators allying and overthrowing it. It puts safety measure on the more advanced terminators so that the resistance will have a hard to reprogramming.
